Midnight couldn't come sooner

Image Hosted by CHANGEME

I found out from the Play Cloths blog that I don't have to be in Virginia to cop some Play Cloths immediately and the online store opens tonight at 12 a.m. Now I have to spend over 10 hours finding something to do before I blow copious amounts of money on clothes I probably don't even need. Two shirts and a skully? Maybe one shirt, a skully and a belt. . . Shit, I don't know. Maybe two shirts, a skully and a belt. Nah, I like two shirts and a skully.

If you want to see a preview of some of the new cloths(teehee), then you can hit up Leaders because those lucky bastards already have Play Cloths in stock and on sale.

Let's thank $port & Co for the Leaders information. Blaze posted the Leaders joint and $port is the one that said it was affordable on Twitter.

I'm pretty sure some of you may have also noticed that I haven't been following Real Chance at Love anymore. Well, I don't care anymore. I've also been spending more time with my face in a computer monitor and in books than I have in front of a T.V.

Fast Life - Clipse

Well, it's nice to see Scottie didn't have to sell his music equipment (low blow, I know). The only worry I had about the Clipse not doing as many tracks with the Neptunes was that the beats would suck and it wouldn't feel the same, but Pusha T and Malice brought their infamous swagger onto this track. Yeah, sure, they rap about crack alot, but if all of these "I move keys" rappers could rap like the Clipse, then the whole sub-genre wouldn't be as boring and played out. Wait, those were Play Cloths. . .

The Re-Up Gang rides again

So, I downloaded We Got if 4 Cheap Vol. 3, and I'd have to say I enjoyed it. I don't want to make this a review of sorts, because I'm not good with rating shit by scores. I'll just tell you to listen to it.

One of the main gripes about the Brothers Thornton is the fact that literally all that they rap about is crack. The reason why I like them is because they can actually can rap, though. Unlike most "Cocaine" rappers, they make it interesting with entertaining metaphors and similes, alongside engrossing storytelling. As Pusha T said in "Rainy Dayz", "Twist metaphors to avoid sounding cliche".

I don't want to forget about Ab-Liva and Sandman, the other half of the Re-Up Gang. Being that I didn't hear any of their previous mixtapes (which I'm listening to, now), my main worry with WGI4C 3 was that Liva and Sandman would just be extra weight that are just there to be in Malice in Pusha's shadow. Fortunately, my worry didn't come to fruition. Each member of the Re-Up Gang pulls equal weight, one being just as lyrically competent as the other. They also share an equal love for the white powder that the two star members made so popular to rap about.

As for the mixtape completely, I can say I really like it and it's on constant rotation in my PSP. One guy on Dat Piff said, "All they did was jack a bunch of beats". It seems that cock-knob is new to the mixtape scene, being that all that mixtapes are for is the artist(s) to show off their skill, whether using their own beats or beats they wish they had. With WGI4C Vol. 3, The Re-Up Gang succeeded with that. Instead of going through a percentage system, I'm gonna tell you my personal favorites that I put on repeat at least once.

I totally stole this from my homeboys blog

But I'm kind of a Clipse stan, so I wanted to hear this.

See, Pusha T sounds like one of those bullys that find out a dude that acts tough is really a whore, so they won't leave him alone. For some reason, to black people, saying "I don't want beef" is a synonym for "I am weak, please beat me". I really think Clipse should just leave Lil Wayne alone and let him have his pleasant life with Baby in peace. I don't dislike Wayne, I think he's okay, but I think Pusha T and Malice are about to come down on this nigga if he says something back, so maybe he should ignore it like he did 50 Cent and Gillie. Wait, didn't 50 Cent call him gay? He should do something about that.

P.S. That little snippet at the end was kinda nice.
