The Day After Tomorrow

Photobucket

- Man, Baltimore got hit with two big ass snow storms two weeks ago, but so did the rest of the northeast of America.

- I went to spend a night over my baby mama/future fiancee house and the damn power went out that night.

- The next day we trudged 1 and half miles through about 2 feet of snow during the blizzard to take E3 to my house. That shit was like something out of an adventure book. I almost didn't make it.

- I had to take his ass in the house, then turn around and get Jasmine, moving like a turtle out this ho.

- I like how it was like 3 feet of snow outside, but all of the liquor stores were still open. Not that I'm complaining.

- Some douche bag left his van in the middle of our street to go to Super Bowl party. That bitch was there for four days.

- Me and a bunch of my neighbors ended up shoveling most of the street so people can get their cars out.

- Speaking of cars, I got my license. Too bad I don't have a car.

- I could steal one, it's in my blood.

- My mom's going to read that and snitch on me.

- I've considered putting out a mixtape. In all seriousness.

- I mean, I always talk about how much rappers suck, so why not prove I wouldn't suck.

- Stop laughing.

- My son can crawl now. He can also slap you back if you hit his hand.

- I see him getting punished a lot in his future.

Eric <3's Hip-Hop 2

- So Charles Hamilton took another L after the video of his assistant Briana Latrise, stepdaughter of Mary J. Blige, gave him a mean right to the face. Although they reconciled immediately after, this is still a bad look. In my opinion, getting punched in the face by a female isn't that bad. It's the damn Pink Panther that was on his arm. Whether they had that little rap battle and he got Chuck Liddell'd or not, the video still probably would've circulated with the doll on his arm. He just wouldn't have been a trending topic on twitter.

I'd just like to say, I don't understand why a bunch of dudes come out of nowhere talking about they would've beat her up. Two months ago, niggas were talking about how much of a bitch Chris Brown is for hitting Rihanna. Apparently, if a female gives you a humiliating mollywhop, it's okay to hit females. Let's be realistic, most of these niggas being e-thugs probably caught a jab from a man and just walked away. At least Charles Hamilton didn't hit her back.

- I see now that Drake is gaining momentum, a lot of people are (I hate this word) hating on him. It's true. I don't fuck with his music like that, but he's doing something right. It trips me out how if a rapper has hella female fans, all of a sudden you're a fag for listening to him. I mean, come on. If I could rap like I want and have 80 percent of my fans rocking pussies, then I'd go for it. I like vaginas.

- I don't know who Dolla is. Nor do I care.

- Chris Brown opening for Michael Jackson? I mean, they're both practically criminals.

- Yo, I saw a picture of Rihanna. Her hair looked like Kazuya Mishima's.

- Check out Theo Martins x $port's track "Checkin' In"

- Also, my homeboy Malcolm Maximillion put out his track over "You Don't Know My Name" here.

- Look, don't complain about bad music after I just gave you some gems.

Snurshdurgeshdir

- They completely unblocked blogger on the Sears blocky shit. YA-HA.

- So, right, me and Jasmine saw this very, very, painfully hideous woman on Saturday. So ugly, in fact, that we had to make up a word for her:

Snurshdurgeshdir

From this point forth, Snurshdurgeshdir is a phrase to be used for someone's who's facial deficiencies are otherwordly. On a scale of 1 to 10, this title represents the negatives. A blind man could see how ugly this person is. When you say it, make sure you say it in the ugliest way you can possibly muster.

- I want to get on Lookbook.nu, but unfortunately, 75 percent of my wardrobe consists of jeans and t-shirts. Why can't you just admire how great my t-shirts are and not whether I can make a pair of Doc Martens work with a lime green cardigan?

- Baby mode is in full effect. We're planning the baby shower and are about to go get our gift registry Thursday.

- I need to plan on spending a night at my cousin Brandon's house. Brandon is my favorite cousin and I can be mega nerdy around him. This Eric you see, now? This is only half of my nerd power. When me and Brandon are around each other, I'm talking pocket protectors and pushing your glasses up nerdy.

- I'm considering making another blog, but what would it be about? Clothes? Video games? Women? I don't know.

- If I ever make a mixtape/album, I'm getting DJ Imp to hook me up with some beats. He knows my little ho brother. I also decided my rap name would be Wade Wilson. Google it. No, it's not named after the football player.

- So, I just did a pick-up for an older Asian couple and my co-worker said they had an exchange that went something like this:

Co-worker: "Do you have a car?"
Gentleman: "Yes. Do I pull it around?"
Co-Worker: "Yes"
Gentleman: "So I pull up here?"
Co-Worker: "Yes"
Gentleman: "In here?"
Co-Worker: "No, you can't drive the car into the store lol"

- Also, do me a favor and download the Cool Kids new mixtape Gone Fishin. That shit is a bang-aah.

Mid-Terms for the XXL Freshman

Well, the hype was raised, there is still some hype, and now the XXL Freshman of 09 are being judged. What do I think?

Most Likely to Find Mainstream Success (or sell-out, which are similar)

wale Pictures, Images and Photos

Wale is a proficient enough rapper, he definitely isn't terrible. However, after seeing him ask if it would be okay for him to make a remix to "Kiss Me Through The Phone" and making his first single a song with Lady Gaga, it causes me to question his ability to, ya know, not be a sell-out.

Most Likely to Be Loved By Hip-Hop fans

cory gunz Pictures, Images and Photos

Face it, Cory Gunz can spit with the best of them. I see him gaining a status similar to Jadakiss: You might not hear him in a soccer mom's van like Flo-Rida, but he'll be a prominent name in hip-hop.

Most Likely to Be Slept On and Treated Like Shit

charles hamilton Pictures, Images and Photos

Yeah, yeah, I know, he wears pink a lot and thinks he's Sonic the Hedgehog. Yes, he beatjacked a nigga. Yes, I heard the Rhymefest diss and he indeed scorched Charles Hamilton. None of this overshadows the fact that the Pink Lavalamp was one of the better albums released last year and it was a free download. I expect the same for his first major label release "This Perfect Life".

Most Likely to Ride On the Success of His Boss

KID CUDI Pictures, Images and Photos

Let's be real, how fucking lucky could you be to get picked up on Kanye's label? Let me be a little more honest: What is so special about this nigga? I find myself listening to his music, which is pretty good, but he's not exactly a rapper. Hell, he's not even a singer. He basically talks with a flow over a beat. You won't see me copping his album, but hopefully getting co-signed by Kanye is enough to keep him afloat, especially after that whole "I want to quit music because Wale said I ain't the same" fiasco.

Most Likely to Be Loved by the Underground and/or Backpackers

Blu Pictures, Images and Photos

The dude gained following after Below the Heavens and no one has been disappointed with him yet. The thing about having fans when you're not all mainstream and dancing is that they're faithful as hell. I see Blu having a long career of critically acclaimed albums.

Most Likely to Crash and Burn

ASHER ROTH Pictures, Images and Photos

Asher. Asher, Asher, Asher. Saying you're likely to "crash and burn" isn't a jab against you, guy. I actually think you're a pretty good rapper. However, after receiving mediocre reviews and the whole "nappy-headed hoes" thing on Twitter, you need to do something. Perhaps the crowd you picked up being endorsed by Don Cannon abandoned you, who knows. What I do know is that you're going to face a lot of shit because 1) You're white and 2) Your "swag" revolves around college life, which a lot of hip-hoppers may not want to hear about. I wish you the best of luck, but really, watch it.

Most Likely to Live Up to His Comparisons

B.O.B.,rapper,XXL Freshmen

Out of all of the new "Eminems" and "Kanyes", Bobby Ray (formerly known as B.O.B. or as I call him "Dave Chappelle Jr")is the one that actually seems to emulate his influences. His main influence, being Outkast, will help his career in the long run as long as he doesn't try to sound too much like Big Boi and Andre 3K.

Most Likely to Rip Freestyling Sessions on the Radio. . . That's It

mickey factz for stopbeingfamous.com Pictures, Images and Photos

I mean, with a name like "Mickey Factz", how much do you expect from guy? I still haven't heard anything to give me an actual opinion, but the Honda commercial was enough for him to be laughable for a while.

Most Likely to remain C-list

curreny Pictures, Images and Photos

Being affiliated with Terry Kennedy and Fly Society can only get you but so far. I've listened to at least four songs and have remained unimpressed. Hey, at least he has his 20 or so fans, right?

Most Likely to Live Up to His Expectations

ace hood Pictures, Images and Photos

Ace Hood = FAIL

Honorable Mentions

Most Likely to Speed Past All of These Niggas

Drake Pictures, Images and Photos

It's a shame he didn't make it on to the XXL cover. Faster than you can say "But this nigga was on Degrassi", he makes a single that makes panties melt and gets niggas on his side because he can rap. A co-sign by Lil Wayne doesn't hurt too much either. I never downloaded So Far Gone, but I can't deny the dude's got talent. I, however, do not like him because he brings the possibilty of bringing light-skinned guys back. I worked too hard to lose my grip, son.

Most Likely to Succeed Without Riding His Bosses Coattails

Big Sean Pictures, Images and Photos

I downloaded his mixtape, and he is good with his metaphors and similes. I wish, I really wish, he would choose better beats though. If I was Big Sean, I'd be pissed that some stoner that talkraps came out of nowhere and started stealing my shine on my label, but that would be hating. Besides the fact you have to say "pause" everytime you say his name *pause*, this dude could build up a following with his clever metaphors and delivery.

Eric <3's Hip-Hop

The Chris Brown/Rihanna ass-whooping is getting old now. People are paying more attention to how Rihanna and Christina are going to bounce back then the fact that Chris Brown beat her ass. We're not talking about a simple swift backhand, we're talking about a Tekken combo.

MC Hammer getting his own reality show is so "Blah". Especially for A&E. No one's going to reach the height that Flava Flav did with "Flavor of Love", but that's because Flava Flav is actually entertaining. They could give that nigga a cooking show and there would still be quotables. That's not such a bad idea, actually.

Bone Thugs & Harmony + K-Fed = LAWL

I don't know who to be angrier at: Bone Thugs for thinking this will work or Kevin Federline for still trying. Let's hope they make another "Popazao".

Raz-B really needs to just come out of the closet. All he's getting right now is a lot of animosity from everyone for acting like such an attention whore.

I believe at this point that beating up Suge Knight isn't really a feat anymore. If Suge Knight gets mollywhopped after the Akon's manager fiasco, they shouldn't brag about it. Unless they're Vanilla Ice.

Aubrey O'Day is bi? What else is new?

Bromance

I was wondering why I don't read the Source anymore, then I picked it up in the Barnes & Nobles and saw this:

Image Hosted by CHANGEME

Neither one of these people have relevance in the game anymore, and they need to give up. This isn't my opinion, this is fact, just like chlorophyll is the reason leaves are green.

When I was looking up a picture of the magazine to post, I found out they made a song called "Roc da Mic". I listened to the song and it was not what I expected at all. It wasn't Bow Wow trying to sound tough or Jermaine Dupri rambling about how much money he has, but it was a love song by them dedicated to each other. While I agree that showing love to people you respect is something more needed in hip-hop, but making a song about it and making it a single is being overly comfortable for me. I want to call it gay, but that would be rude. I'm not posting the video, so you go watch it and tell me what you think.

"I be looking at em like 'Ew, who do that?'" - Lil Bow Wow

I don't know any straight men that say "Ew, who do that". That's some shit for the kids.

P.S. The beat sucks ass, but all of Jermaine Dupri's beats suck ass.

"Put a Guitar Solo on That Bitch"

This is me getting picked on for having a low voice while I'm recording with my friends and shit. I really didn't want to post it, but people are gonna see it anyway. They didn't show all of the jokes and dumb shit, but yeah, then you'd hear the whole song or whatever. Oh, the dude with the braids is Demar and the light-skinned kid is my little brother.

Most Known Unknowns

Uzoy

Representing: Houston, Texas

Image Hosted by CHANGEME

www.myspace.com/uzoy

I saw Uzoy on EC|DC's myspace(you'll see him eventually) and I fell in love with the song "Twilight Zone". I actually left her a comment telling her she's one of the nicest female rappers I've heard thus far. Check out her music, that's what the link's for.

Dyme-A-Duzin

Representing: Brooklyn, New York

Image Hosted by CHANGEME

www.myspace.com/dymeaduzin

I started listening to this cat a while ago when I saw him on FILNO's(If you don't know who that is, you're not on youtube enough) subscriptions. He had some funny parody songs, but don't take homeboy as a joke. He's 16(going on 17), but he can spit with the best of them. Check out his new joint "Ur Tight" featuring Diverse. Download "Shut Up and Listen", too.

Matic Touch

Representing: Akron, Ohio

Image Hosted by CHANGEME

www.myspace.com/matictouchmusic

Also known as Blaze of Glory of WayMoreFresher, he's quite a rapper. With his comrade Styxx supplying some synth-laced fire, he receives an adequate track for his lyrics to run on. Make sure you give "Cloud Nine" and "Underestimation" produced by Rawdee a listen.

DJ Imp

Representing: Baltimore, Maryland

Image Hosted by CHANGEME

www.myspace.com/skleebindeebin

I just found this dude, like, two days ago because one of my friends added him on myspace. I'm glad I did, because his beats are crazy. I've been listening to his remix of "That's Gangsta" by Bun B over and over again and I put his instrumental "Birth of the Imp" on my myspace.

Malcolm Maximillion

Representing: Baltimore, Maryland via Patterson, New Jersey

Image Hosted by CHANGEME

www.myspace.com/millionaireradio

Yeah, yeah, favouritism, whatever. He still has some nice beats and he's going to be in a beat battle at the Sonar on the 24th, for anyone in the area. He made a Clipse remix CD "A Clipse of Jazz", so you should download it.

EC|DC

Virginia(At least I'm sure it's Virginia)

Image Hosted by CHANGEME

www.myspace.com/ecdcmusic

I've been following EC|DC for a while now, ever since his name used to be Tokyo Joe. He's from the school of up and coming producers that are influenced by Dilla, but yet many of his beats are actually created through keyboard play. He posted one of my favorite beats of his "City of Nowhere" and you should take a listen immediately. Also check out Brittany Bosco, one of his frequent collaborators.

$port

Representing: Toledo, Ohio

Image Hosted by CHANGEME

www.myspace.com/supersportmusic

Last but not least, we have $port, also repping WayMoreFresher. Like his blogmate Matic Touch, he is also proficient in his craft, which is beatmaking. Influenced by J Dilla, Madlib, Just Blaze and other producers popular for their sampling ability, it shows in his work. He just released a downloadable LP "A Bathing $", influenced by Nigo and A Bathing Ape.

That was way harder than I thought it would be with all of the html and shit. Wow.

Smash featuring Yung Crip - Too Much 4 Me

I'm sure you're like, "the fuck is this guy?" Well, this song is popular as shit in Baltimore and it shouldn't be difficult for it to start getting popular nationwide. A friend of my mother actually knows the dude Smash and invited me to one of his shows, so I'm like "Why the fuck not?" Still waiting. Either way, I like it, I don't expect you to.

The video is semi-low budget. You can tell they used good cameras, except when they were on Federal Hill(You don't know what that is). I'm tripping because the lightrail station that they start showing later in the video is the one I have to stand on to go to work. I was also when I saw Yung Crip's name. I mean, damn, there are crips that rap, but that's like a gay rapper coming out named "homo".

Random playlist time

I'm usually not a fan of those "repost" games on myspace and facebook, but my personal favorite is where you just randomly go through songs in your ipod PSP. So, for your entertainment, I'm going to set my shit on shuffle and play the 20 songs that come up.

Stay With Me - Pharrell Williams

Phantom Pt. II - Justice

Random Thoughts on Current Urban Music

- "The coke that I push is pure as a child's heart"
- Malice, "Intro(Play Cloths)"

Are you serious? ARE YOU SERIOUS? Where does he come up with this shit? You don't know whether to say "Damn, that was hot" or "Why the fuck are you comparing cocaine to children's innocence?"

- This might sound ignorant, but the Knux give me a "I like boys" vibe.
I mean, how many heterosexuals make songs about frappucinos?

- I think Tanya Morgan sucks because I thought it was gonna be a hot woman and it was three dudes

- I honestly think Chuck Inglish is one of the best new producers this year.

- "Shontelligence"? That doesn't even deserve to come out of anyone's mouth, even worse be the name of an album

- I was on the fence about buying 808's & Heartbreak until I heard "Streetlights" and the song with Lil Wayne

I don't want that cd near my house.

- Bet money that Common is going to push Universal Mind Control a.k.a Invincible Summer back again. I'm going to be angry if they don't leak "Punch Drunk Love" before then.

- I lost respect for Just Blaze for sampling the Numa Numa song.

- I like Sa-Ra's music and beats and shit, but I don't think Taz Arnold has done enough to have the right to be as weird as he is. Remember when Andre 3000 was a total fucknut? He's nice as shit, though.

- I actually like Crazy World by Young Jeezy. Yes, I said it.

- Where's Yung Berg?

- Where's Saigon?

- I honestly hope no one is surprised that Dedication 3 sucked dick. However, it's nice that Lil Wayne isn't so complacent that he stepped his game up.

"Being fake is pussy, so nigga I'm a virgin"

Hey, that's ya'll boy.

T-Pain - Karaoke

Oh, shit, T-Pain went in. I found the intro with him and Kanye hilarious, especially at the end. "I didn't recognize you without the auto-tune" "Oh, Kanye, I didn't recognize you. . . without the auto-tune". It's also purrretty homo to talk to men while they're pissing in a public bathroom. At least wait until you're done urinating.

But yeah, T-Pain is right. The game is currently being over saturated by this auto-tune shit and no, Kanye and Lil Wayne don't get a pass. Especially Lil Wayne. Kanye might get a pass just for 808's & Heartbreak, but Lil Wayne sounds like he's swallowing bees and vibrators when he uses that shit.

What do I think of the Freshmen 10?

Image Hosted by CHANGEME

Cory Gunz - I like this guy. I heard his freestyle on Green Lantern's radio show and I've been a fan. He's nice enough where you wouldn't even pay attention to the fact that Peter Gunz is his dad.

thumbs up friend judgement Pictures, Images and Photos

Blu - I've heard some of the songs from the critically acclaimed Blu & Exile album and he's definitely someone to look out for.

thumbs up friend judgement Pictures, Images and Photos

Mickey Factz - The only thing I've heard from this guy is his little song with the Cool Kids, and sad to say I'm not impressed. Maybe I'll hear some more shit and think he's better.

Image Hosted by CHANGEME

Image Hosted by CHANGEME

Wale - Being that Wale's represents the whole DMV and not just D.C., I've known about dude for a while. I actually heard his song "Rap of the Century" on 93.9 and was like "Whoa, this dude is nice", but I didn't learn it was wale until, like, a year later. If you haven't downloaded "Mixtape About Nothing", you need to hop to it.

thumbs up friend judgement Pictures, Images and Photos

B.O.B. - As I said, I heard about B.O.B a looooooooong time ago. I heard "Cloud Nine" and could hear the promise in this dude. Not to mention he can also play some real instruments, which isn't a bad talent to have in this industry.

thumbs up friend judgement Pictures, Images and Photos

Asher Roth - I think all of this talk of him being a fake Eminem is bullshit. He's a talented rapper and I was impressed with his performance on "Sun God" (The Greenhouse Effect Vol. 1, go download). Not to mention that he professes his love for college regularly.

thumbs up friend judgement Pictures, Images and Photos

Charles Hamilton - See "These are a Few of My Favorite Things.

thumbs up friend judgement Pictures, Images and Photos

Image Hosted by CHANGEME

Ace Hood - Meh. Very meh. I do like his song with Trey Songz, but that's only because of the hook.

Image Hosted by CHANGEME

Curren$y - This dude is painfully overrated. I constantly hear "Oh, Curren$y, the hot spitta", but I haven't heard anything worth putting on my PSP. Not to mention that he's associated with Terry Kennedy and Fly Society, so this nigga gets the thumbs down.

Image Hosted by CHANGEME

Kid Cudi - I downloaded his mixtape and, honestly, I didn't like it. I don't look at Kid Cudi as a rapper, but more like an alternative music type of singer guy. I think he's more Kenna then Lupe Fiasco. However, Day and Nite is stuck in my fucking head.

Shea Davis - Things Go Down

I love Shea Davis because he sucks so bad it's hilarious. His flow is down syndrome and the video was funny. They just had some chick gyrating while they poured water on her head and had Shea rap in the background. SMH at the red bandana with rhinestones.

The Cool Kids - Delivery Man

See, this is what I'm talking about. Instead of being like those fuck ass Retro Kidz and completely stealing from the 80s, they take elements of it and incorporate it in to their music and videos to show that it is inspired by that era. Cool video.

I might be a little. . .er. . . intoxicated.

I do not support underaged drinking.

Puntang.

God damn it, Curtis

I don't know if 50 Cent realized it, but his antics are getting old. He's like the class clown that was funny and cool in, like, 9th grade, but by 11th grade people laughed at him less. Everyone's realizing 50 Cent has no real talent and the only people that still support him are his loyal cockjockers, residing only in wiggas and 40 year olds that long for the days when they sold drugs.

Now, attacking Kanye West is just moronic because for one, he has more appeal to everyone and, two, he's actually still hot. Let's see who's done more "gangsta" shit:

Kanye
1. Fought some government(not really, but they were convincing) douchebags for the film to his Jesus Walks video on Punk'd.
2. Call out the president on national television while standing next to Austin Powers.
3. Smashed some paparazzi's camera.
4. Zapped out after hearing Beanie Siegel called him gay. Most guys wouldn't even raise their voice in defense if Beanie Siegel called them gay and then died.
5. Ran on stage to let motherfuckers know he deserved something that he didn't get.
6. Made "Two Words", which is probably the most hard-body song of his career.
7. Got signed to Roc-A-Fella in it's heyday.
8. Got caught with porn.

Curtis
1. Got shot. (Which isn't really gangsta being that you're the one that got shot)
2. Back out of beefs with people that are either nicer than him or make more money. (Notice he left Game and Wayne alone after they sold more than G-Unit)
3. Go to every show in New York with a bulletproof vest on.
4. Get your security to shoot someone in the testicle.
5. Never call Fat Joe a fat bitch to his face.
6. Steal Bow Wow's girl. (Wow. That's so g.)
7. Talked a bunch of shit and then had a guy that made a song with Daft Punk sell more than him.
8. Claimed he would retire if he was outsold. . . Well?
9.Image Hosted by CHANGEME

. . . smh, 50 Cent. Smh.

Bossman featuring Raheem Devaughn - I Wonder(K-Swift Tribute)

Man, the tribute doesn't even come until the end. This is the same way I felt after I watched Queen of the Damned. Whatever.

Tuesday, September 2, 2008

Really, T.I.? Really?

Live Your Life - T.I. Ft. Rihanna

See, you don't sample the Numa Numa song. The Numa Numa song is something you put in something that's funny, ya know? Meant to be stupid. Whoever thought that was an intelligent idea is an asshole. I honestly would've liked the song if they didn't put that shit at the beginning. Ruined the whole shit.

EDIT: Just Blaze, I still respect you immensely, but I'll always remember that you're the "producer that sampled Numa Numa".

T-Pain featuring Little Wayne - I Can't Believe It

I actually like this song(minus Dwayne Carter) and the video made me like the song alot more. It's very rare you see a unique rap video, being that most people prefer to stick to the "money, hoes, cars" thing. It's also nice to see Buffie the Body still doing work because me and my girlfriend were arguing about her last week. Apparently a "glamour model" isn't a real model like Kate "No-tits" Moss. Seriously, though, Wayne ruined the song. If him and Kanye don't get off of T-Pain's dick with the auto-tune shit, I'm going to start threatening people, and you don't want me to start threatening people. I can say some sick and twisted shit.
